top에 대해서 질문좀 드리렬고..합니다.

top 의 버전 차이입니다.3.x 버전에서는 total 로 display 해 주고 있는 것 같습니다.

CPU usage
          The tasks share of the elapsed CPU time since the last screen update, expressed as a percentage of total CPU time.

그리고 2.x 버전은 total 과 함께 각각의 cpu 상태를 보여주고 있습니다.

CPU states
                      Shows the percentage of CPU time in user mode, system
                      mode, niced tasks, iowait and idle.  (Niced tasks are
                      only those whose nice value is positive.)  Time spent
                      in  niced  tasks  will  also be counted in system and
                      user time, so the total will be more than 100%.   The
                      processes  and states display may be toggled by the t
                      interactive command.
